Slab is defined as a semi-finished steel product obtained by rolling ingots on a rolling mill or processed through a continuous caster and cut into various lengths. The slab has a rectangular cross section and is used as a starting material in the production process of flat products, i.e. hot rolled coils or plates. Our suppliers have one of the most modern continuous casting machines worldwide. The vertical bending CCM is designed to reduce inclusions (impurities) while churning out prime quality merchant slabs, at high production rates.
Billet is known as being the second stage during the production of steel, steel billets are hot rolled and then used for further stages of metal casting. Our supplier produces Billet under the latest technology such as EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) and also Blast Furnace. Furnace metal charge is with at least 90% Sponge Iron and excellent quality.
Steel Plates are produced from Steel Slabs as its raw material. Our supplier Steel Plate production, includes various steel plates with high resistance for a selection of applications such as large diameter oil and gas piping, pressure vessels and oil liquid storage, petrochemical gas, industrial and power house boilers, ship building industries and steel plates for particular building structures with various mechanical properties. The tensile strength of these plates can increase up to 1,200 Newton on millimetre square and their yield can increase up to 1,000 Newton on millimetre square.
Steel wire rod is a semi-finished product which is rolled from steel billet in a wire rod mill and is used primarily for the manufacture of wire. The steel for wire rod is produced by EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) process.

Hot rolled bands and sheets are primarily low carbon steels that are produced on a Hot Strip Mill from slabs that have been thoroughly heated to a rolling temperature of approximately 2300°F. Slab heating at this temperature accomplishes several desirable end results, which include, surface scaling for minor surface imperfection removal, softening of the steel so it can be hot rolled, and (where applicable) dissolving carbides or nitrides that are to be precipitated at a later stage of the rolling process.
